A permanent feature in the industry since 1999 he has regularly been consulted by policy makers and industry associations globally. In India, he has shared his inputs on Organic and Fair Trade Movement, while also advising the Government, Certifying Bodies, Trade Group on Organic Farming and Fair Trade Business on how to optimise the commercial side of organic food categories.
Mr. Katyal is also a founding member of Government recognized Organic Industry’s association – Association of Indian Organic Industry (AIOI) and a Fair Trade Producer Association of Asia Pacific). Under his leadership NPPL has groomed and attracted an experienced team of Organic Farming Professional.
During this time Mr. Katyal established three of the leading organic food ventures and grew them to be some of the largest organic companies in India. Under his guidance they earned accalaids like the APEDA award for Leading Organic Food exporters for the year 2001-02 & 2009-10. While Nature Pearls Pvt. Ltd, remains one of his proudest accomplishments.
