The Council of Indian Food Trade (CIFT) is an apex trade and investment promotion organization in the Indian Food Industry. The Council of Indian Food Trade (CIFT) serves as global platform for trade facilitation, partnerships, technology, investments and agribusiness services.
A proactive approach helps CIFT in discerning critical challenges emerging in Indian agriculture along with creating opportunities for development, value addition and international trade to augment farmers’ growth and farm revenue. Industry-oriented Working Groups and sector specific Councils CIFT represent the interests of key stakeholders at the national level and through international platforms and partnerships.
It facilitates global engagement and positions India’s food and agriculture sector prominently on the world map. CIFT is also recognized and supported by the Department of Commerce, Govt. of India. It works towards facilitating the growth of the Indian food industry with global investment & trade opportunities. The council provides strategies for expanding business internationally, by organizing specialized business events and simultaneously working with the Government by providing policy suggestions which are essentially based on inputs collated from research and industry stakeholders.
